Isabel and I met on the first day of 10th grade.  I was new to the school.  Going to new high schools are never fun.  I should know, I went to 3!  We took a couple of classes together but lost contact when I moved during 11th grade.  Thanks to the awesome internet (hello, where would be today without it?), she found me on one of the social networking sites 4 1/2 years ago.  We have been besties since!

This girl is amazing!  She has the biggest heart.  She’s completely genuine and can make anyone laugh in a heartbeat.  In fact, her laugh is contagious.  She has been there for me through so much over the last few years.  A forever friend.  That’s exactly what she is.  I can’t imagine my life without her in it.

In just a couple of weeks, her and her hubby (who is just as equally fabulous as she is!) are celebrating their 7th wedding anniversary.  They have 2 little girls and are still very much in love.

Happy Anniversary you two.  May you have 70+ more years ahead of you!  Love you guys!  xoxo

When I was in middle school, we moved to this small town in Colorado. I was only here for a few months but in that time I met a few amazing friends that I still keep in contact with now {16 years later} thanks to Facebook. Gasp, did I actually write that out? I had to count in my head. hahaha Anyways, one of these friends, J, still lives in the area and I had the chance to get together with her and her beautiful family this afternoon. I’m so glad we’ve had a change in the weather! It was so nice outside the B’s went with the flow. I love that. You can just tell how much those two love each other and their daughter. I felt it the whole time. The way she would look at him… the way he touched her. It was pure sweetness. I hope you two enjoy your sneak peek!

J was making some funny noises and had little M cracking up! It was hard to get a real smile out of this cutie but her mama came to the rescue!

My grandparents celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary last month. Those two people have taught me so much about love and what marriage is about and I really admire them for their hard work in staying together for this amount of time. We all know that marriage is give and take… it takes a lot of work and commitment to make a good thing. Grandma and Grandpa… their love for one another… it’s priceless. Beautiful.

I have so many fond memories of these fabulous people. The kind of memories that have never faded. To see two people so in love and witness this bond time and time again is almost magical. It’s special.

I love you grandma and grandpa. With my whole heart.

My husband and I decided to take a last minute trip to California this week. The weather has been absolutely wonderful and it’s been so much fun hanging out on my old stomping ground. On Wednesday I met up with a long time friend and her awesome family for some pictures at a local duck park. The kids had a great time running around quacking at the ducks! Little L fell and skinned her leg a little then decided she was done but she was a good sport about it. Thank you B’s for meeting up with me! It was great to see you again!
